Julia Ewan Elementary auctioned

A crowd gathered at the front of the old Julia Ewan Elementary School building on Henry Clay Blvd as it was auctioned off in Lexington, Ky., on Thursday, April 23, 2009. The winning bid was for $1,225,000 by Bill Meade, who lives in the neighborhood. He said he wanted to preserve the building, but didn't know what he was going to do with it.
