June 18, 2010 - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - A lightning bug, also known as a firefly, hovers over a lawn as it and another behind it flashes it's light at dusk. The male insects, which are actually beetles, flash a section of their lower abdomen to attract the females. A wet spring has created an abundance of the insects this year.
