Longwood owner George Gatewood surveys a barn which had fallen on a farm in Woodford County, Ky. on Friday, May 25, 2007, which he will salvage and resell as architectural lumber or flooring. Longwood recycles the wood and will resell as architectural lumber or flooring. Gatewood says he sees a lot of barns deteriorating due to neglect or by farmers who don't use them for tobacco any more. Some barn owners are also taking their barns down because they don't use them any more and don't want to pay the insurance or be liable for someone getting injured.Photo by David Stephenson | Staff 3204
